From today on, mountain bikers and cinema fans around the globe will be able to enjoy the excitement of the world premiere of Brandon Semenuk’s RAD COMPANY, as the latest cinematic creation from Red Bull Media House and NWD Films’ goes on-sale at www.redbull.com/radcompany.

The inaugural screening of Brandon Semenuk’s RAD COMPANY drew a crowd of mountain biking’s finest to the sold-out venue in North Vancouver. “The venue was unreal. Brandon Semenuk’s RAD COMPANY chronicles mountain bike icon Brandon Semenuk as he and his handpicked team of riders push the limits of freeride mountain biking and showcase their skills on never-before-seen terrain. The movie features an eclectic soundtrack that flows like your favorite mix tape, while seamlessly meshing all disciplines of mountain biking. Utilizing all custom built trails and features in locations such as Fiji, Retallack BC and Utah; the film takes the viewer on an unparalleled cinematic trip showing the beauty, power and depth of mountain biking at its best.

“While it is full of top notch riding, this film is not your average shred flick. We've gone out of our way to add never before seen creative touches to each segment of the film and wanted the world premiere to do the same for the people attending. We had to abandon the traditional theatre and find someplace awesome,” says the films Executive Producer Derek Westerlund about the World Premiere venue choice. Taking place in a large, empty warehouse on the shores of beautiful North Vancouver in Shipbuilders’ square, audio/visual experts, lighting companies, food and beverage vendors, artists and other creative types worked hard to build this movie premiere and after-party from the ground up.

This is why there are so few full length videos now, just a sign of the times. Its worth the 13 bucks....
  • 11 2
It's $13...and worth every cent. The level of riding (and crashing) in this film is insane.

Downloaded and watched it as soon as it was available on Itunes last night, so stoked! The Utah segment is unreal.

The riding is truly amazing, but the fake rain segment was a bit too much for me.
  • 3 1
Totally agree, the rest was awesome, but that bit was a letdown. Still, I guess you've got to let film makers experiment to allow progress, and it was a pretty small blip in what was otherwise a next level production with some unbelievable riding. Good work guys!
  • 4 1
 The rain was fake?
  • 2 0
I'm not sure it was fake, but certainly heavily modified in post-production. I guess it becomes pretty arbitrary what classes as truly fake. Either way, it seemed a bit over-edited and as a result was the only part of the film which seemed to detract from the awesome riding.

To be honest it seemed to me like it wasn't even raining. It looked too heavy and in some angles you can see it was only falling on a small part of the track. Maybe some kind of hose was installed up above to create the "rain".
  • 4 0
I thought it was as sick segment. It was definitely artificial rain, I can't imagine how hard it would be to shoot in such conditions, especially since it was artificially lit. I thought it was successful in its attempt to create a different atmosphere and emotion to the film.

Fake or not it was pretty sick to me

Bought it, watched it, my only question is: Is Cam Zink riding a "Hyper" Ticket S during the junkyard scene? I know the freeride stuff was shot in between his bike switch but I paused it a few times and the bike he is on looks way too similar to McCaul's and Brandon's on top of looking different to the hyper prototype? did anyone else notice?
  • 1 1
same as in the rampage that he ate it on the canyon gap he basically rode a hyper session 88
  • 1 0
No.. it was a Hype prototype that year at rampage! ep1.pinkbike.org/p5pb8748664/p5pb8748664.jpg
  • 1 0
not the red hyper, I know that, im talking about the black slope one in the junkyard scene...its different from the one he crashed on in the crash clip compilation. I am thinking he broke his in the crash and borrowed a spare ticket S from Brandon or McCaul.

I wish to personally thank the utter genius who decided to serve pulled pork sliders, spring rolls and popcorn on saturday night. And buy the dang movie, its incredible.

I spend all my money for eating at school this week for be able to see Rad Cmpany!
10€ isn't expansive for the quality of filming and riding!
But now i think my stomach will regret this purchase all week...
  • 6 1
Loved it but could seriously do with a little/a lot less slow motion.
  • 5 0
This is waiting on my computer to be watched. WORK IS SO LONG TODAY
  • 8 3
 Cool, 44 of 49 minutes in slo-mo.
  • 5 1
that was, quite possibly, the sickest mtb film I've ever seen. If you're on the fence for some reason, BUY IT NOW!!
  • 2 1
Unreal movie and a great soundtrack! Good to hear some proper music with the riding. Stoked on hearing some old school Misfits in there! The standout moment for me was Zink's slo-mo nothing to seat grab in the junkyard. Something with the angle, music and the trick. Really clicked.
  • 5 1
Painful watching that much slo-mo. Enjoyed the making of it a lot more.
  • 2 0
Is there a making of video somewhere? or are just talking about LBB?
  • 1 0
Yeah, just talking about the LBB.

  • 2 0
If the slo-mo segments, of which there are many, were played at full speed then the film would only be 9 minutes long. Wink
  • 3 1
Are you kidding me with $21.98 to ship a $30 DVD to Hawaii? Seriously?
  • 4 3
I definitely had one too many vodka RBs that night. Awesome movie. Worth the wait.
  • 3 2
All killer, no filler! 49 min of full-on stoke. Worth the $10 (SD version). Gotta go ride now- and then watch it again.

  • 4 4
Riding was pretty awesome but didnt think the film was put together the greatest, average soundtrack.
  • 5 8
Good movie but didn't get me pumped to ride. Seen maybe 90% on LBB. Because of that it didn't jump out at me.

I still get pumped up to ride when I think about mudcows 2 and that was 15 years ago. This will not be the same.

Good but not great.
  • 2 1
Definately would've been way more exciting if LBB hadn't been focused on all the filming trips, but was still next level riding wise!
  • 1 1
So true. The ridding is top level. He is probably the most naturally gifted ridder but I had seen it all before.
  • 2 1
Awesome night. Pretended to be a VIP and got a free T !!
