"It's not wednesday yet, mate".. Wyn is serious about his wheelies.

 Wyn, what a character.
I'm glad that he still puts out these videos, he's the only one taking the piss and trying to make it enjoyable.

Fingers crossed for a podium @wynmasters
  • 36 1
not sure if he said "wednesday" or "Wyn´s day" though Big Grin
  • 13 1
Wyn's interviews have gotten a lot better. I always look forward to his videos.

@Waldon83: it surely takes a character to be so fast with a punch line. Genius!
  • 5 0
@WAKIdesigns: Sambo's even quicker with the punch lines though, apparently.

wyns a dikhed... I can say that from my armchair.
  • 10 1
@ibeaver: I met him and wouldn't call him a dikhead, there's definitely a good dude inside of him, so I'd call him a "Rolling stone" Wink Having said that I would NOT liketo have him as my neighbor
  • 3 1
 @WAKIdesigns:
Wouldn't want his brother either: www.scene.co.nz/queenstown-news/fernhill-party-house-tenants-face-the-axe
Just another bogan in a booze wasteland...
  • 4 0
@Otago: I purposefully didn't mention Eddie... that dude is a mess... saw him once along with Vanzacs and holy damn... keep these people away from me please. This is the exact kind of people who should never touch alcohol, they get drunk with two fkng beers and start wrecking havoc. Smoke as much weed as you want, you probably should... just stay away from booze

"What do you think of the track?"
"What happened to your face?"
  • 124 1
Big Grin you can't fluster Minnaar he's just too cool
  • 108 1
That whole Minnaar interview was hilarious! "Big wheels are bigger yeah"
  • 11 1
@imho4ep: Easily the coolest cat on courseSmile Can't wait to see if their off season testing stands the test of competition. Bring it on!

 Wynnnnnnnnnnnnning !!!

Haha so much going on, did Sam really smack Wyn ?

Is Eddy the slipperiest gypsy ?

Rach and Wyn are friends again

And as predicted 30" is coming haha !!
  • 33 0
Surely it should be 30.5", as is tradition?
  • 5 0
 @acetasting1992: only in Canada
  • 1 1
 edit
  • 12 1
30", yes für sure! But we'll have to wait until everyone's gotten himself a 29er, then the obvious switch to a different wheel size (regardless of the size) really makes $en$e...
  • 1 1
 @acetasting1992: 29+ first
  • 3 2
@shakeyakey: 29+ exists. I ride with a guy with one of these and he swears by it.

You all forgot the metric, 75cm is the next big thing!
  • 3 0
 @acetasting1992: Yes incremental sizing , matters .
  • 6 1
@kosumo: buahahahah, metric wheelsize that's it!

Trek 29er on the front, 27.5 on the back. The new Session is a Mutley...perfect for those Wacky Racers.
  • 20 1
Well said mate - doubt these youfs know Dick Dastardly unless it's in reruns or remakes tho
  • 1 0
Not a bad way to go at all.
  • 2 0
@endlessblockades: just picturing a post race montage with catch the pigeon over it
  • 6 1
I'm waiting for an edit by the Anthill mob!
  • 3 1
Odd sized wheels I see a specialized lawsuit coming!
  • 3 0
Winning with oddsize wheels knowing UCI would DQ you would be a statement for sure!
  • 6 1
Party on the back business on the front
  • 1 0
Yeah I was thinking it could just be the best of both worlds just like moto. Good traction up front for roots, rocks, ruts and holes but still good acceleration and handling at the back.
  • 4 0
@dwojo: and XCers would run it the other way around...
  • 48 1
As long as I get to see Claudio's course preview, and Wyn TV, no one has to die.
  • 24 2
 except for 27.5 RIP
  • 2 4
 @wheeled: and 26
  • 45 3
I just can't appreciate Minnaar's vibe more. The guy is pinned on track and so cruisey everywhere else. Gotta love talented guys that don't take themselves too seriously.
  • 37 0
"It's not Wednesday mate." Friggin' hilarious.
  • 10 0
Haha so good, Wyn is The authority on wheelies, put that guy in his place
  • 35 1
Wyn for the win! EWS and world cup win in one season would be epic
  • 2 0
 There is always hope! Wink
  • 3 0
Oh hell yeah that would be awesome! After winning EWS Round 1 he's just proving he's got the goods!
  • 34 1
Minnaar playing the straight man like a boss.
  • 14 1
Take the time to get to know some South Africans and you will find that many are like that - dead pan, straight bat retorts and a a very very dry sense of humour. Minaar is a class act.
  • 10 1
 He's so hot right now.
  • 3 0
 @Feideaux: "take the time...."

Ok, I'll get right on that. Booking my tickets now.
  • 25 0
 Loic's 29er reaction... hilarious! ????

  • 6 1
Finally! WC is back. Wyn is Back. Syndicate is Back. All the cool guys-girls are back! So excited.
  • 5 0
 Finally, Wynn tv is back!!!
  • 10 9
Im wary of making something of nothing when largely the haters seem to have chilled on the 29er issue...but I feel like there's still a lot of animosity toward the big wheels. I know a lot of the riders are just having a laugh and poking fun but I feel like behind the laughter the "29ers are gay" thing still won't die. It's one thing coming from the keyboard warriors but it's really disappointing to see it from the pros. Hopefully the syndicate trio are the guys to finally slay the dragon, I just hope they don't take the whole podium in case it comes back stronger than ever.
Putting all that aside this is gonna be a really interesting weekend of racing! Can't wait to see the 'it's only practice' times today Big Grin
  • 9 3
The times will tell. If 29ers are truely faster (which they are) then everyone will be frantically trying to fit them into their frame or at least putting a 49 up front... (tough luck for guys on Rockshox)

Well played Santa Cruz / Greg / Jason / Fox for putting their balls on the line and giving it a go. Also props to Chris Porter as I am sure he has helped getting the 49 out.
  • 5 2
@fartymarty: that's an interesting point you raise dude...CP has been quite outspoken about the disadvantages of big wheels and I don't remember ever hearing him say anything good about em. But at the same time he's a firm believer of 'the clocks don't lie' so I guess he's already had a nice slice of humble pie? I don't know the guy, I just read and watch anything with him involved so maybe I got the wrong end of the stick but if he was involved in the development I wonder if there was any conflict of interest? Probably not cus he's a professional but I wonder what he thinks of it all?
  • 4 2
@ThomDawson: This used to be the case but reading on the Geometron thread on mtbr the Mojo guys have been testing 29F 275R on G16s with 40s up front at 180mm with good results. I think he was originally very anti 29ers (and probably 275 for that matter) but "the clocks don't lie".
  • 3 2
@fartymarty: cool, i didn't know that. I'm glad that the clocks won out over any other nonsense.
  • 2 1
@ThomDawson: it's an interesting thread to follow if you are into geometry etc.
  • 1 1
@ThomDawson: they are selling 29" geometron already...
  • 2 1
@Travel66: yeah but the comments I'd read from CP on it have the impression he was reluctant! From those same comments I gathered he didn't even want it to be 27.5" but "you can't get the tyres" or some other crap lol
  • 1 1
@fartymarty Clementz, Graves, Rude and Hill won in 26" or 27.5" tires.
  • 2 1
@fartymarty: CP must be listening and downvoting my comments :°D I might just have to give that thread a peep, very much interested in geo...I've recently turned away from the far out bikes in favour of a more moderate approach but I'm always interested when people try things that haven't been done before etc which is why I've tended to follow CP's comments etc.
  • 2 1
@ThomDawson: I'm also interested to see how far it all goes. For me the limit must be MX bikes which are about 62-63HA and 1500WB. I don't think we will get this long but 1400WB seems a reasonable limit for taller guys. I'm also a fan of "outside the box" thinking and pushing / establishing the limits.
  • 1 0
@ThomDawson: no mate just some muppet....why DV a factual comment like mine?

@Travel66: He has one on long term test as well which he seems to like (a lot).
  • 5 1
My shitty night at work just got a lil bit better. Thank you WynTV!!!
  • 5 5
I don't know, his humor is lost on me. I'd prefer yippie bringing some good times as opposed to sarcasm and snarky. He comes off demeaning to some riders to me. Now let me preface by saying he is stupid fast on a bike but the commentating game is something I personally am not digging.
  • 2 2
Nah, I far prefer wyn tv to tippie.
  • 2 1
I think it is called satire
  • 2 0
Totally lost on you. He's their completion, not a reporter. The interviews are to be taken as Wyn trying to get on the nerves of his competition. It's all in good fun.
  • 5 0
 That was the best!
  • 2 1
Is the Trek Team really going to race with a 29er front and 27.5 rear as Rach said?
Now that would make for somethin interesting!
  • 4 1
Ahhhh Wyn you make me smile. Even more than Claudio's course previews.
  • 4 0
 Ha! Love it!!!
  • 3 0
 hahah, wheelie Wednesday!

 WynTV should be 10 minutes
