Less than 24 hours until I'm a bad parent and pull the kids out of school and head across the state line for the weekend. Can't wait to actually see a WC race in person. Next step, family trip to Ft Bill for a WC race!

if you're taking them across a state line, do you need their mom's signature? Otherwise sounds like you're a good parent!
  • 2 0
sounds like you're winning at parenthood to me!

@shredddr: I brought her with me! She's tired and cranky after walking the course and watching qualifying runs today but that's nothing a bottle of wine won't fix.
  • 1 0
@shredddr: Is this true? If it is that's f*cked up
  • 1 0
@Isey: Probably true for divorced people/single parents/parents with custody agreements. Not so much for two parent families.
  • 1 0
@Isey: I was joking, but mallowpufft point is probably true. America does have some funny laws about state lines though.

Greg rocking the oakley sponsorship on his face and hanging from his shirt

Think i saw a pair in his back pocket and another tucked in his sock.

Still doesn't beat the EWS riders wearing just the goggles' frame for sponsorship sake.
  • 8 1
@pioterski: actually just the frame stops a lot of the dirt that flicks up from the front tire, and your lenses are smoked when its pissing rain so its better that way,

wonder who (almost) protested Minnaar's old G-Cross Honda bike...
  • 3 0
Come on. Must be some 50+ guys around here who know
  • 1 0
@xice: historically, seems like there was a bit of friction between minnaar/peaty and barel/vouilloz. wonder if its one of those guys...
  • 1 1
@shredddr: Peaty - he won the overall that year.
  • 3 0
@neimbc: Would have thought he'd have given Peaty shit for it in the video if it was him.

If Minnaar wouldn't mention the name then this person is probably still active in the WC DH scene. We can narrow the list down to Gee Atherton, Barel, Claudio Caluori, Mick Hannah, Peaty, and Rob Warner. Other racers back then who are still in the MTB industry but not that active in the WC DH scene would be Dan Atherton, Chris Ball, Yoann Barelli, Marc Beaumont, Neil Donoghue, Gracia, Jared Graves, Sam Hill, Curtis Keene, Kyle Strait, and a host of others.

I’d put my money on it being Fabian.

Greg Minnaar just oozes cool. Ha! Big Grin

Eating potato chips, wearing sunglasses while he had a pair tucked into his shirt. Shirt wrinkled AF half popped collar. Still the coolest cat.

Minnaar should be the next Bond

Can't wait to get there on Friday and see how those top pros tackle this course. It's going to be interesting to say the least.
  • 9 2
I will be there Friday as well. I have ridden at Snowshoe for over a decade now and its always gnarly. Its awesome to hear the pros talk about what we have known all along, that Snowshoe is rowdy and wild. See you on the mountain. I will be wearing a big straw hat, some Faux pit vipers and a Macho Man Randy Savage T-shirt. come get a high five! Yeeeeew!

@EnduroBro: Right on. I have raced there several times over the years as well. It's been near 10 years since I've been there. It's funny seeing these guys talk about the track esp lower HB. I'm like, I've been doing that shit for years, Its gonna be awesome!!

Just have to get through the next few hours at work before hopping in the car to start the long drive down - haven't been to a World Cup since Bromont in 2009, can't wait!

One of the best track walk's yet in my opinion, and they're all great. Way to go Wyn! Pumped for this race!

Not sure what is better, Minaar and Wyn eating chips during an interview or Mike Patton eating a sandwich during an interview...
  • 5 0
Why the funky edit on Amaury’s interview? Like literally, every word was a separate clip at one point to make a sentence. It’s weird.
  • 5 0
I'm pretty baked and wasn't quite sure if that was just in my head...

BK is FER SHURE gonna bring the ruckus to my 40th birthday race!!! hahah!!! Gonna be a good one!!!

"this looks like a semenuk thing to do, like a nose wheelie to tailwhip off" lmao

I remember seeing the Vid where CG sent that rock step down. That was epic back then, cant wait to see who will send it this weekend.
  • 2 0
One year I was there back in those days it was so slimey muddy...terrifying especially on the bikes we had back then.
  • 4 0
Yes Greg! Salt & Vinegar McCoys and a coke, a great combo!
  • 2 0
West Virginia tourism board is stoked on the repetition of the motto. Though from racing enduro there, we usually add wet to it. Luckily the weather looks clear for them.
  • 1 0
Have you seen “The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia”? Seriously. Wow.
  • 1 0
 open for business!
  • 3 0
So the riders are not so positive about the track ? It's weird to understand how much they are exaggerating "3min pedaling"
  • 3 0
Still rough as, really rough. And the hucks are pretty massive
  • 5 1
I think Tahnee was just trash talking. The guys were visibly impressed/scared by the track, and I'm actually very eager to see how they handle it during the race on weekend.
  • 5 3
Really bummed hearing all these professional athletes complain about pedaling. It really isnt that much on that course. Maybe two sections.
  • 3 0
Was thinking the same. This a brutal course, especially was those guys hit it at the speeds they will.
  • 2 1
I like it when more more females are interviewed by Wyn pre-event. He may well not clean up too good, but still the gals seem to welcome his attentions. Makes for a better presentation. More gals, Wyn!

 Randy for track preview!!

salt vinegar and coca cola... the winning way in west Virginia!
  • 4 0
 But they were just SALT!
  • 1 0
If Kaos flips the hip do you think he'll actually manage to qualify for this one?
  • 1 0
Yeah when I get into Scotland I get SnV McCoys and coke too ;P
  • 1 0
What does Dean Lucas say about Minaar and girls? Can't catch it!! Haha
