For 2016 the Maxxis Rubber Side Down series is back.

Connor Fearon born in Adelaide, South Australia has been part of the Kona Factory team nearly as long as he's been running Maxxis Tyres... His reserved and modest personality couldn't be further removed when he steps foot over two wheels, consistently placing him in the top 10 overall on the UCI World Cup circuit and becoming a fan favourite for his loose, Aussie style.

You'll be surprised to learn that when home, his downhill bike doesn't see much action. We aren't all blessed with huge mountains and chairlifts, but what Radelaide lacks in height it certainly makes up for with a buzzing scene and huge variety of trails.

Flat pedals, Tuesday night parmys and slapping turns. Yehhh Connor!

 They were 26" bikes cause I saw him filming this at the local 4x track.

 Conner's Process 167 is 27.5" as you can see at 0:53 in this video. Also, his mate Elliot verified it on Facebook yesterday. If they release it for 2017 then I am keen!

 i think he just crammed a 27.5 in there, just built up a 167 myself and for shits my buddy let me put his 27.5 in the back. it fit with an okay amount of clearance. you can hear it and he also mentions his tire buzzing his seat in the video, my feeling is that probably a side effect of the larger wheel in the 26" frame. i dont think kona would let their big travel process out the door if it was buzzing seats every time you went through the travel. He probably did it so he could run the new lyrik without the bike looking like a liteville.

 @cooper02: yeah you're probably right there. Or perhaps he had the rear chainstay off a 27.5 Process 153 attached to the Process 167 front triangle.

 I remember the first time I heard about Connor... in the freecaster highlights video of the 2011 MSA WC. He said "my goal is to qualify"at the time if I remember well ... haha look where he is now, so next level ! hope you win a WC soon Connor !!! Smile

 Conner is one of the good guys for sure. I wish I could travel the globe and ride one day with a bunch of these legends. Conner, Brendog, McDonald and Brannigan would be my shortlist.

 He's a pinner alright. Bumped into him near my place and took him down one of my stealth DH runs; internal dialogue was, "smash it, don't crash, smash it, don't crash..." the whole way down.

 I have my 2016 153 and I hate how heavy it is when putting to my small car. I admit you do feel it at all when riding. Really great bike!!!
