The
Yeti Cycles VIDA MTB Series returns in 2016 with an expanded calendar of events and ambassador program to support women’s mountain biking in even more communities across the country, including Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, and now Utah and Vermont.
“VIDA was born out of a genuine passion for bringing people together through mountain biking. It has evolved into much more than our humble beginnings as a single mountain bike clinic,” said Sarah Rawley, president of Vida Events. “Although we specialize in skills clinics, we see extensive positive effects far beyond our clinics; it’s almost contagious.”
VIDA’s unabated approach to growing the sport and opportunities for all participants involved, is fueled by the collective efforts in the industry, fellow women’s mountain bike programs, individuals pushing the envelope in the sport, communities that embrace mountain biking, our coaches’ and ambassadors’ pure passion for teaching, and most importantly the fierce determination that we see in our participants as they tackle their next challenge.
VIDA's Ambassador Program was launched in 2015 with a small group of women who were interested in becoming involved at clinics and in their local communities. In less than a year, the program has grown to embrace over 30 ambassadors across the country who are instigating movement on a grassroots level.
“Each of our ambassadors is unique and represents a different aspect of what it means to be a rider, but they are all alike in their passion for mountain biking and commitment to increasing the participation of women in our sport. We couldn't be more proud to have them on our team,” said Elena Forchielli, VP and marketing of Vida Events.
The VIDA Ambassador Program will take on new heights in 2016 with the support of our sponsors and VIDA’s ambassador key leader,
Tricia Shadell, leading the charge. Applications for new ambassadors are now being accepted at ambassadors@vidamtb.com.
VIDA’s goal is to continue to provide unparalleled experiences that not only inspire, but also create riders for life through our presence at the
Sedona MTB Festival,
Beti Bike Bash, the
Yeti Tribe Gathering, and VIDA’s very own
Flagship Series.
VIDA will kick off its season as the Women’s Hub of the Sedona MTB Festival March 4-6, including tech talks, group rides, yoga, and a 1-Day Workshop exploring Sedona’s majestic trails. The next stop on the schedule will be in conjunction with the
Beti Bike Bash and
Little Bellas girls’ camp at McDowell Regional Mountain Park, on March 26, where women will tackle the unique demands of the desert, and have the opportunity to race on Sunday in the Valley of the Sun.
VIDA heads back to its mountainous roots in Colorado for a springtime skills refresher, May 14 at
Valmont Bike Park, followed by two of our biggest events— the
Beti Bike Bash at Philip S. Miller Park June 18, and a two-day all-inclusive clinic at
Keystone Resort, June 25-26. VIDA will make a special appearance at the
Yeti Tribe Gathering, an exclusive event for owners of Yeti bikes. Our final stop in Colorado will take place at
Snowmass Bike Park, just days after the best in the world compete in the only U.S. stop of the Enduro World Series.
From there, we head west to Park City, August 13-14, and then traverse the country to the Midwest starting in Minneapolis, Minn. August 27-28, and finally wrap up the season on the East Coast at the
Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, Vt., September 10-11.
“The Trapp Family Lodge captures Vermont’s rural magic perfectly while recalling the founding family’s heroic story, creating a truly unique experience. Situated on 2,500 acres of beautiful forest, it is an exciting new addition to our Flagship series,” Forchielli said.
Yeti Cycles returns as the title sponsor of the VIDA MTB Series, with opportunities to demo the
Yeti Beti line of bikes at most VIDA events, along with
Stan's NoTubes,
Smith Optics,
Fox Racing Shox,
Skratch Labs,
Twin Six,
Enduro Bites, and
Wild Balance Jewelry.
Fox Head joins the program and will also showcase demo equipment at VIDA events.
"Our roots run deep with Yeti Cycles, and after a stand-out year launching the Yeti Beti line of bikes and introducing them at our clinics, we are incredibly proud to continue to waiver the turquoise banner and grow the Tribe with more lady shredders," Rawley said.
