PRESS RELEASE: Zerode

Zerode Bikes and our North American distributor, Cycle Monkey, are launching a new web store and NA-specific build kits that will make it easier for riders in the US and Canada to get their hands on frames and complete bikes best suited to their riding style and local terrain.

Our Taniwha platform has been available in North America since April 2017, with a full carbon frame built around a highly-durable and low-maintenance Pinion gearbox. Available in a 140mm trail configuration and a 160mm enduro configuration, the Taniwha has built a reputation for excellent descending capabilities and unparalleled suspension performance.

The new North American online store offers a seamless user experience for those who want to easily compare prices and spec for the bikes available in North America without navigating away from the product and technical information on the primary Zerode website. Bikes were previously available for purchase online only through Cycle Monkey’s site and a number of select dealers. Going forward, all options available through Cycle Monkey will also be available in the new online store.

In tandem with the new site, Cycle Monkey and Zerode have launched 3 new build kits for complete bikes in both trail and enduro configurations. The Standard Build will feature durable aluminum components and Pinion’s 9-speed C-Line Gearbox, making Taniwha performance available at a price point that appeals to a wider range of riders. The Performance Build ups the ante with a mix of carbon and aluminum components and Pinion’s 12-speed C-Line gearbox (which offers a whopping 600% gear range), while the Signature Build will treat the most discerning riders to a full carbon component spec including wheels from Knight Composites.

Riders opting for the Performance and Signature Builds will be able to choose suspension from Cane Creek, RockShox, or Fox, while the Standard Build will be offered with a Rock Shox Yari fork and Cane Creek DB IL Air rear shock. Both the trail and enduro bikes will also be offered as frame/drivetrain combos and frame/drivetrain/fork/headset combos.

Zerode and Cycle Monkey look forward to sharing more of the brand’s storied history in New Zealand with North American riders, and see the launch of an integrated website as a crucial component of doing so. Orders placed through the online store will be handled by Cycle Monkey, who remain the main point of contact and customer support for riders in North America.

Looks like a gearbox Nomad v3?

(note; it's obviously not a VPP, but the lines are very similar).
