ZUMBI cycles manufactures professional hardcore mountain bike frames and parts for the most demanding. Every ZUMBI product is designed in Myslenice, the mountain bike downhill heartland of Poland. Basing on the experience of our main engineer Pawel Matuszynski and top World class riders we bring to life the best, 100% Polish bike equipment for gravity addicted mountain bike enthusiasts. We want to deliver the best frames and parts out there and that’s why every ZUMBI product is manufactured by craftsmen from the aircraft industry who used to work with MIG jet fighters and tested by our riders and designers before getting on the market. Our philosophy: design simple, use the best materials…back to the roots.Pawel about ZUMBI-
“As the owner and designer of ZUMBI I am an avid DH rider/racer and in my designs I’m trying to accomplish the ultimate ride. I have a masters degree in Engineering. Everything I do is connected with mountains which I love. Besides biking I snowboard, ski and climb. I designed and built my first frame in 2003. We use the best materials like 7020 Oria tubing, 7075 aluminum, Ti6Al4V titanium and high grade stainless steel. All the frame parts are CNC machined and hand welded at our facility in Poland. Our welders are ex-MIG aircraft welders with over 30 years of experience. We are proud becoming a sponsor of a professional racing team this year with top ten World class athletes in DH, 4X and BMX.”

New for 2009:
T-20, 20” wheel trials frame, Quilombo fixie frame. Our flagship DH racing frame, F-44 got a slightly revised geometry with the BB lowered and ISCG mounts. The DH Team and Voodoo frames also got ISCG mounts as standard. We offer our Reaktor headset in full titanium version in limited quantities. We started working with Fox Racing Shox. Our full suspension frames are now equipped with Fox DHX 5 and DHX air shocks custom set by MOJO UK. Besides Fox we continue offering our frames with Avalanche Downhill Racing suspension units.

All our products will be presented during this years Eurobike (www.eurobike-exhibition.de) and EHBE handmade bikes trade show (www.e-h-b-e.eu)

Holy crap you guys, quit your arguing back and forth, remember this is a blog about frames, not a history lesson. It blows me away how hate can happen so quickly when we do not know any other persons background, life, etc. ...........The frames are sweet looking and I think we all look forward to another option in mountain biking. Good luck on the race curcuit!! RIDE HARD.....RIDE FOCUSED!!!

A fine point well made I feel.

Great to see so many different points of view however they work for the team and if The Don, Gaskell, Mears and Liam and Charley Phillips think they rock that is fine by me. True Pro Downhillers want to test a rig before they sign a deal, its not all about cash and these guys loved them. Zumbi are a special breed, they dont just supply the frames but will fine tune what we feel the need to change, this shows professionalism and respect for one of our main sponsors. Lets remember www.4mountains.co.uk is the team and Zumbi are its sponsor so if you want want of these babies they are doing big discounts so get on line and buy. All comments appreciated.

 I have a 2008 Team DH.

I think its great. Brilliant in the corners.
Also, Pavel was great when I was building the bike up. He replies straight away with any tech questions. Very impressive from a Company owner.

Heres a pic,

I have got f-44 ti since half a year and that's my 4 frame...I think it can be my last Wink
  • + 3
 Nice one Hatch!

It didn't say the 4X races, so are Charlie Phillips and Hatch gonna be doing the NPSs?
  • + 1
Cheers dude, yeah myself Charlie Phillips, Liam Phillips and Jason King will be at all of the NPS 4X races in 09 and any other regional and european 4X races that we can get to
  • + 2
My F44 Ti is awesome. Had my first race on it yesterday. It handles so sweet, and tracks super well. I'm very happy.
  • - 1
And normally, welders don't say they are a mig aircraft welder. They say they are an "aerospace" welder as all the fighter jet companies are "aerospace" companies like Lockheed and boeing. So the mistake could have been easily avoided by actually being specific to the industry they welded in rather than the product they welded on.
  • - 1
btw my pops works for an aerospace company, hence me being so critical about it. The comment was just to sound flashy rather than just be to the point... really what my point was all about. Welders go by industry, not by product they weld. You won't see someone that works in the automotive welding industry saying I'm a frame welder. They will say, I'm a welder for the automotive industry. Welding creduentials are all about industry, not product. Simple. Sorry for the spam of posts. Sick frames none the less.
  • + 1
What are you on about "sound flashy" its the truth!

Why cover up the pedegree of the welders (who have been welding bikes now for years!)
  • + 0
And you have a state champion welder? WTF? In that case I am Wiltshire roof-tiling county champion, North of England Junior swingball champion (1993), Wessex Van driving runner-up (3 years running), and electric phillips screwdriver using world record holder.
  • + 1
 state champion welder!

The long winter nights must fly by! ;-)
  • - 1
pedigree of the welders? Did you even read what I put? did it not register in your head?

And yes, I was a state champion welder, at age 17. I've long gone from welding besides doing truck lifting, sport truck etc fabrication. I grew up, thats all. Interests take me other wise.

O and mattsicles, around here, in the USA, we have leagues like VICA to compete with welding. Your country is so small I doubt there is any. O and to avoid your comment of you don't know squat about britain, I'm half british and have traveled there many times. They don't have squat compared to what we have for compititions in welding etc... but just because Britain is so small, nothing to do with how good people are. I'm sure if vica was in Britain there would be many people competing. Sadly you don't have such a thing.
  • + 0
sadly? SADLY? this just gets better! there is a welding LEAGUE! FPMSL! Hey fella if you were state champion at 17 and top of the VICA league you should have stuck at it, you could have earned some big BIG money, what with the televised international welding cup competitions, and massive transfer fee's you could have earned moving from Hicksville ARC "Storm" to The New York "Soldering Irons". Why is it the Americans see everything as a competition? Welding is a JOB, and not a very interesting one either.
  • + 1
Yep t3h1337r you are so rite. We are so small we dont have any competitions. Its a real shame we have most of the best cyclists in the world then.
  • - 1
What does that have any relation to having welding compititions? It doesn't. O and the "we have most of the best cyclists in the world" statement is far from true. Get over yourself.
  • + 1
No its not. How many world champions has the UK got across cycling. Most of the DH, Nearly all of the track, womens road cycling. Oh and all the olympic medals! It must be because we arnt wasting our time doing welding comps!
  • + 0
Wasting your time doing welding comps? What does welding have to do with bike racing. I never related the two as they have 0 in common. NTM there is more to this world than just bike racing... Way more.
  • + 0
Actually, the UK has both the male and female MIG, TIG and ARC world champions. THE BRITS PISS ON THE YANKS IN WELDING AND CYCLING!.................... I may have just made that up.
  • + 0
 But it sounds about right.
  • + 0
LOL, at least we have good health care here. Sucks if you guys get hurt racing. Have fun with your doctors over there Big Grin
  • + 0
The American health care system is top class. If you have insurance otherwise you just get left in a gutter somewhere!
  • + 2
Should be getting my F44 Ti next week. Can't wait to get her built up. Go Zumbi for 2009!!!
  • + 1

  • + 0
 He didnt do them :/

He sprayed the first lot to see what they look like. The new design was done profesionally.
  • + 2
 Crazy bikes, like them!
  • + 1
that green frame the f-44 is sick
  • + 2
 looks good
  • + 1
no-body think that the DH Team is similar to the old rocky mountain RMX?
  • - 2
I do find it so actually... for me it appears that zumbi is almost an ol' RMX but just with a newer geometry and lower wieght. Nevertheless I respect Zumbi as being as a polish No1 in alu frame manufacturing.
  • + 0
these bikes look sick i saw the don and helen with the zumbi team at hamsterly at the start of the year.
  • + 2
 it was about cyberhawk

the dh bike looks like a chumba
  • + 0
how much for an F44 frame in euros ???
  • + 0
MSRP is 1800eur, just got an email from them.
  • + 0
no, i dont love the zumbi
  • + 1
I dunno, they look OK, everything gets better with time. I have to say I don't like the orange one because frame designs like that tend to collect a lot of dirt on the rear shock. The trials bike looks pretty damn cool though.
  • + 1
 those frames look SICK!
  • + 0
 more frames more money
  • + 0
 sick
  • + 0
 DH team looks sweet
  • + 5
maybe just add that that frame was one of the first dh teams made. It was almost two years raced when that fella bought it and still he got a 1 year warrenty on it.After two repairs we finally replaced the swingarm. Why wont You write bout that??
  • + 15
Anything can brake, I've seen broken V10, Demos, Giants and many many more. This happens when you are using frame !! 1, 5 or even 10 broken Zumbi's ? So what ? how many % of manufactured and sold Zumbis is it ? Any ... How many 2005 demo's 9 broke near the shock mount ... 80-90% ? or more ... Polish people are f... wierd.
  • + 2
This was adressed to beryl, not snizy.
  • + 2
beryl's comment reminds me of finest samples of polish hooligans burning down the stadium of their own team... similar mentality i believe
  • + 0
anything isn't for ever when you are hard using (race, long jump, hucking etc.)
  • + 1
ZUMBI GO! Congrats! Im damn proud of U! Finally a polish frame out there! Congrats to pionieers Smile ! Mostly due to the fact that you were modest for all these years, unlike Duncon blistering about how great they are, that they are market leaders bla bla bla... respect, and bows, low bows Smile CHEERS!!!
  • + 2
Not great looking rigs?!? These are one the best going mate! Go on www.4mountains.co.uk and thats the site for the new 2009 team that are using them!
  • + 0
I agree that they don't look well, but... they perform great and thanks to simple design they are cheaper. U like all these monocoque stuff and hydroforming? no probs but pay at least 100£ more and carry this bit more weight that comes with it Wink At least it works in practice, Morewood says that their bikes are meant to be simple (so they look) but U pay nearly the same as for Spec or SC...
