yeah twisted spokes are cool lookin and all but having a weaker wheel just for looks is not as cool.

We would disagree with you on that one. experience with this design has proved otherwise.

The reason the industry has settled on 3x for high strength wheels is more of a fact. Even high end overpriced wheels which could easily efford to integrate such lacing into there manufacturing and assembly line have not. So saying that this is stronger is kinda like discrediting ever single manufacturer and engineer such as the good old guys at easton, who have painstakingly put hours of there life into research and development on such product. Just sayin.

Summit800, do you have personal experience with twist lace wheels? We have a lot, and as I said they have been 100% problem free. I just don't see the point in bashing something with out fully having first hand experience with it. I wouldn't say that it is stronger, nor did I, but it sure feels stiffer. I'm not an engineer and I don't claim to know any specific numbers on stiffness and strength, but form our extensive real world testing it has def. past the test, otherwise I certainly wouldn't lace and sell wheels in this pattern to our customers

It most certainly is, and we have a lot of experience using the twist lace pattern in DH and DJ applications with great success.
