The Swinger is probably 10 time better than the vivid but it Manitou so not trendy

I rode the Vivd for about 2 years and loved it but overall its a very soft ride! It feels super supple and rides great eating everything but too soft for my liking. The Swinger sounds really good, I have never had an air version but the coil rides great!

I say give the swinger a throw! Its got to be awesome with all those adjustments! The Vivid has superb coil like ride but it rides on the soft side with tons of air in the chamber!

seems the vivid air is more DH/Freeride orientated; would love to try the swinger tho

both come from 200-240mm so will fit alot of frames, small ofr big travel, both DH/FR capable

heard the vivid not being all that good tho :/

havent ridden a viv air. but from what i can tell from all the reviews, it lacks some small bump compliance, and can be a PITA to tune.. other than that, id go for the vivid.. and i really dislike rockshox.. lol

btw, when i was looking for shocks for my operator, i found a brand new vivid m/m tune on ebay for around 300 bones. check out ebay if your considering getting one!

The vivid air looks so nice. And apparently ride pre good too. Haven't head much about the swinger though.
