Selected by Matt Wragg - As well as the composition and light, there is perfect timing and positing here, catching the sun between the riders arm and body at the moment when his movement is at the most dynamic. Heavy duty photo nerds will probably be curious to know what it's like to have the 1D-C in their hands too...
I like the dust behind him, at first I thought it was a gimicky photo but it does look like he is at a decent pace...Also like the little jumping cactus near the bottom where he is headed hah!
It's a decent pic, but it would have been much better if he were on a 650b with a fanny pack and goggles with his XC helmet. You can't be taken seriously as a rider unless you meet these requirements.
Awesome photo Craig, superb fill light, timing & angle. The depth is incredible, by keeping the river & trees in the background in focus it creates drama and gives the viewer a lot to take in, much like Fruita itself. I can look at an image like this all day and never get tired of it. Nice work.
The rocks he's riding down looks like boobs, the cleavage the bluff of the rock looks like a face and the light colors rocks to the right looks like hair, this looks like a picture of a girl on a bikini.
