 what is the gear ratio?

32 on the front and 9sp (11-34) on the rear

I don't know anything about uphill, but 32x11 is not enough. I would say 34 or 36 at least.

It is enough for me, I don't care about pedalling that much while going down

dude pedaling uphill on a 34 or 36 sucks ass even if you're on the 42 in the back. climbing is half of enduro, better make sure you can do it.

I do uphills using T38 and 11-32 of a downhill bike. Even though the strongest gear ratio is 38x32 I still prefer to use something like 38x28, 38x24 standing on pedals. My uphills aren't very steep so it will never be enduro. My earlier point was that descending with 32x11 is like chainless freedom. U can never catch up wheels. dude!

yeah, you probably dont care about climbing because all you wanna do is get to the dh- nothing wrong with that either! but if you wanna go really fast climbing you need that 32

The reality is that whenever you wanna do a donwhill, first you have to do uphill. If you go deep in wild and forget about lifts there you stand with the question of having an enduro bike which can do uphill and still is a heavy machine for downhill or just keep using the strongest bike possible and pretend it can uphill as well. I chose the second version. Apart from compromising what gives more pleasure uphill or downhill? This is the point that made me buy dh bike couple years ago.

It's always the same story, it depends on where you live. I live in the alps so for me a 32 on the front is perfect (nearly too big).
