A family friend of ours. I saw this picture on reddit and became obsessed with it. Because it reminds me why I moved to the big city. So my parents commissioned it without me knowing as a gift.
If I set up my apartment differently, I'd go for a total mural. But this actually fits even better. On sunny days, the colors really pop.
for me it represents the beauty and colorfulness of my city, which actually is pretty gray, considering that most of it was built in era of communism. In high school I had a fixation of watching the sunrise from the roof of a skyscraper, and seeing the sun tearing the thick pollution and ripping the filth intensifying the small bits of color on a gray slate, making them painfully vibrant. This fixation drove me to move to the capital, city for college. Which Represented a significant point of my life. Oh, and the translation of my city's name is "white city" kinda ironic since it's mostly gray.
I really dont like that much cities but nothing better than a sunrise or sunset the colors that they give are awesome, haha at least is a shade of grey... inwards a shade of white.
I wouldn't do a mural I can get bored of it, same why I don't ink myself, but that painting gives so much light and life to that wall
