You get to cut trails in the wild. And climb up tall stuff. You have a fun job.

Thanks sshredder. Hard work.. and harder to win contracts. Feels worthwhile tho as related to comms sites for essential services.

Very nice, but the work install work the local dealer did is scary bad. Wires for whinch controller unshielded, unfused and placed at right angles against sharp steel bracket.. fire waiting to happen!

yeah not much thought goes into a vehicle once its sold eh?
I would love one....my Great Wall is just starting to cost me money after 4 years.....still goes great but im not sure it will be the 10 year shuttle rig i was hoping for.Mandy has a Barina thats a year old.It is way too small for the 5 of us and we are thinking of a 2nd hand Prado.....if so that means the GW has to stay here for a few years yet.

You'll need a people mover for your growing tribe! 4 years is not a bad run before maintenance cycle.. is it still under warranty and what work has been needed?

no mate warrenty finished July last year....im just going through a set of brake pads every 2 years, rotors need facing and it was done 2 years ago too......but yeah you are right,4 years of no major money out lay is great.Due to a over excited and under experience owner it also needs new shocks but man this little thing has taken me to some crazy places......im not a car lover at all but me and my China are best mates lol.....have you seen the new Ford Ranger Wildtrak????? best looking car i have ever seen.

All the new ones look pretty good' and from what I hear are here pretty good mechanically.. the problem remaining is fuel system failure thanks to our poor diesel quality. Am installing a pre filter on Luxih this weekend.. is getting pretty busy under the bonnet!

yes good idea.....it is also one of the reasons i like petrol...im starting to sway back to D but man they dont have the advantage of years gone by i feel.......from what i hear mate the new Ford and Mazda BT fitty has bad transmission issues and gearbox dramas......the new Lux has steering and transfer case issues and the Colarado dealers will tell you to upgrade the cooling system ........i have driven a Amarok and it has way too much going on when in 4x4 and feels a bit "heavy" and the ISUZU has a shit gearbox feel and feels as weak as my GW on nasty tracks.........at the end of the day you got the right truck mate.....a cruiser ute is too over priced but a Lux will out live anything i have mentioned above.

note...all the bad things i mentioned about tilly's above are stuff i got of forums......i drive a GW so i know i cant really bag out a truck hahahahaha.......
