Photo of the Day on
May 14, 2014
- There's nothing like a mountain bike to take you to place a long way out from the world. This photo makes me long to turn the cranks on some far-off, distant plain.

Looking through these comments I am beginning to realise more and more that pinkbike is now just full of dickheads and idiots that have found a common place to express their vapid opinions. It's a pity. It's a nice shot. There will be a different one tomorrow. Chill the fuck out.

This kind of riding is not promoted, so no sheep will follow
Though the descriptions says it's a long way out from the world... It's not true. Open the link and you will see it's about 20 - 50km from towns and Motorway 6
It gives that feeling though.
(May 14, 2014 at 8:00)
That's not exclusive to Pinkbike. You just described the internet.
(May 14, 2014 at 8:18)
Agreed; the shot is a great one. Riding like this evokes a sense of adventure and escapism and the photo captures this.
(May 14, 2014 at 10:20)
In England, not quite so much Wales and Scotland, 20 - 50km is about as far as it is possible to get away from towns and motorways.
(May 14, 2014 at 13:07)
This is a real concern because the internet is real life and you're forced to read every comment people post. There's no way you could just look at the picture and enjoy it. (heavy sarcasm)

OH MY FREAK. I AM SO PISSED OFF ABOUT THIS POD. MY DAY IS RUINED BECAUSE OF THIS....
(May 17, 2014 at 13:33)
@Luap... u are the man, man!!!!! could´t be more true
(May 14, 2014 at 1:51)
I know the rider. His name is Waldo.
(May 14, 2014 at 9:14)
Is he missing a sock?
(May 14, 2014 at 10:01)
You mean Wally!
(May 14, 2014 at 19:27)
how did you find waldo
(May 14, 2014 at 1:42)

Looks nice and... Warm?
(May 14, 2014 at 0:26)
Yeah, I was surprised at it being in the U.K.. Really amazing looking.
(May 14, 2014 at 6:49)
Loads of great stuff like this in the UK! I'll be riding somewhere less remote but beautiful all the same tonight here:

Grew up round Llangollen, some awesome riding, absolutely love the climbers path down from Worlds End back towards Llan.
(May 19, 2014 at 3:00)
What a place! Just discovered that track last week and another down between the cliffs and acre at Trefor! Give me a shout if your ever up this way again for a ride. Would be great to get some local knowledge
(May 19, 2014 at 4:57)
Definitely, been awhile since I've been riding there. There are loads of sheep trails, a lot of which were connected but may be overgrown now unless someone else has been maintaining them. Also when it gets really dry, the stream beds are rideable, sketchy as fuck!
(May 14, 2014 at 8:52)
this is his newspaper round. Poor fella!
(May 14, 2014 at 16:33)
Kind of a boring POD. Was hoping for an action shot. Oh well, there will be another one tomorrow.
(May 14, 2014 at 0:11)
I dare somebody to get a POD with a smaller, farther away rider. Yet, it's still a beautiful shot, I like it.
(May 14, 2014 at 0:32)
It been done before, i just can't be arsed finding it.
(May 14, 2014 at 19:15)
Hmm, must remember to explain myself. There have been pods that have smaller rider subjects than this, I just didn't feel like spending my time finding one. My comment was not actually describing my feelings towards this photo(its a great photo). I always forget how serious pinkbike is!

Amazing shot. Love the vast landscape.
(May 14, 2014 at 13:47)
Was just out there today!! Awesome weather and a great ride!!
(May 14, 2014 at 13:06)
Riding alone in the distance. How bloody dare they?
(May 14, 2014 at 10:51)
Makes me want to rip down those rolling hills

(May 14, 2014 at 0:12)
This is an all time low for POD's
(May 18, 2014 at 0:34)
