The design did'nt change much or at all till 2011 when they made the sliders detachable to my knowledge. Sorry - didn't mean to mislead.

 @humbucker, yes fewg8 is right, its a 29er frame and has disc brake mount. No fork included - well I have an older white bros fork - 80mm if you want it for 90$. Otherwise, carbon forks are pretty nice and light and you can pick them up for 120$ often. I have other odds and ends if your building from scratch(brakes, stem, crank, derailleur, new 9speed cog)

 This was my first 29er. Ran it ss rigid with discs brakes.
