It's definitely one photo! I'm the rider and Christoph was an absolute wizard with this shot, he had me riding into the corner completely blind. This is why you trust the photographer!

na i it is one picture with the shutter open for 8 seconds, half way through the picture when the rider was in the right position the photographer would have set off the flash illuminating the rider and capturing him where he is.

Is this 2 photos? looks like the background is long exposure because of the light and foreground is short exposure. thinking of attempting a shot like this with stars in the background

Actually i think he might have used the flash very quickly on just the rider to get him exposed. Then no flash on the background to create the effect?
