Ah gutted man, mines gonna heal on its own and feeling loads better just after week, did you brake yours in more than one place?

 Nah but mine shattered in the middle so had fragments inside that needed sorting hence the metal. I lost 1 inch in length on it so my shoulder was pulled inwards so needed operation to get the full length back too. All good now

 Must of been a mess mate, least its all good now!

 just rode dh for first time today after 5 weeks, feels fine no pain just dead slow and need to get back up to speed
