Selected by Matt Wragg - This shot throws most of the rules of composition I usually look for out of the window, but I like it so much I don't care. I love the light and the texture of the earth, and I really want to go and ride that now.

Agree with Monsieur Wragg, complete composition failure, rule of thirds ignored, but screw that, its a darn sweet shot anyway.

Thats the point I was trying to make VTwintips, you don't need to obey the rules to make an awesome image.

What I'm saying is that it does obey the rules. It just so happens that there is a lot more to composition than rule of thirds.

There's nothing wrong with the composition here - if there was it wouldn't be a POD, and I wouldn't like it as much as I do. But, it is an atypical shot, and it's a sign of good Braydon is that it works. Fact is that the comment above is by John Welburn, who for my mind is one of the best big mountain shooters in the sport, is high praise indeed.
