Holy shit, this is amazing. The scope, the depth of field and the detail are just mind boggling, but when you mix in the coloring and the rider?

That's what's surprising -- that the entire photo is so detailed without pulling away from the rider. Pretty amazing photo.

There's more to depth of field than shooting wide open for sick bokeh. Depth of field can be shallow or deep, and the deep focus in this shot is what makes it work. Beautiful shot!

pulp mill.. that smoke is there permanently.. its supposedly "mostly" steam

It is mostly steam. She's a KRAFT mill... Domtar is up to three turbines now, so their recovery boiler goes through a lot of water. Of course it's not JUST steam in that main stack, but let's pretend it is and carry on with our days. :p
