Stuntman-of-the-day award goes to German photog, Jens Staudt. While climbing a steep pitch, trying to get set up for a shot, the boulder that he was holding on to, let go. Both him and the boulder dropped over 25ft. Lucky for him, there just happened to be be a massive mound of sand at his landing. The only injury he got was a sand-blast to his face and camera gear.

Eek that's a scary photo...does the dust get inside the casings at all?

Pro Canon gear is all weather sealed with gaskets and orings but they can still get contaminated when removing lenses. Which in a case like this is quite likely. . . .

That samyang won't be and if u had a blower u could blow the dust of off the surroundings of the mount and it will be fine.
