Apart from the brakes that is a pretty rad build, I think it might be better with some formula "the one" brakes

So I take it you haven't ridden the Guide brakes? Because they feel amazing.

no i havent but ive never been an avid/sram brake guy, ive ridden most of the elixirs and i hate the feel, i prefer shimano and formula as they have a much better lever feel and are mineral oil as opposed to dot4

Yeah I've had Formula brakes on my last few bikes and I do like them, but if I were to go with them this time I would want the new lever design, and they don't do that on a black brake. Plus the Guides feel fantastic.

Not sure at the moment. I will get some claimed weights and do the math later. I'm hoping for sub 30 with the carbon rims.

They're not concave, so they don't grip your feet as well. Go DMR

I had the Vaults on my last mountain bike and they were nice. But I think I want to try something different this time around.

Hopes are nice. If the price difference wasn't there, I'd take hopes over dmr.

At cost the Hope is barely more expensive than the DMR.

Hmm...well they have gotten pretty good reviews on a few sites, though I have yet to find a side-by-side comparison versus any other pedals.

Well considering that I nearly overloaded my credit card with the frame and fork, it likely won't be built for a few months. Unless there's some money left over from our wedding.
