 Oh dood! what a ripper! One thing I am going to have to get used to is the balance off the rear, I manualed over a 1 foot root drop and when I landed it was game over! just wheelied right out from under me. Caught myself but whew! The pig was not like that..he he it is nimble as all get out.

 So yes climbing is different for sure. The short chain stays allow the front end with 160 mm to come up so easily its crazy. So on fire road style climbs pig wins hands down. Surge has a little wanderlust. But what I did notice is with some learning the technical stuff might be easier, as in the front end pops over stuff so easy that a minor shift in weight allows the rear to hop over. (not going to lie, haven't mastered that yet so today was harder) The pig required more work to do that. Going down is where the surge is just stellar. It begs to pop around and the tight berms and such are way funner. Its crazy to me what subtle differences in geo can do.

 Damn man that sounds really good. A little wander isn't too bad, worthy trade off I think. I wonder what difference lowering the fork to 150mm would make. That's what my Vengeance is set at and the Shiver sits even lower at 120mm. I like the 150 more than 120, but I am real tempted to try the Vengeance at 160, 140, and 130. Just time consuming changing it around so much.

 I bet 150 would be perfect....but i am a sucker for longer travel so i will just adjust to it. Dont know if i can sell the pig just yet though. If i can get ahold of a really cheap 140 fork I think i have almost everything for a sinle speed. And i think chef has the rest Smile

 Yea it is really tempting to raise my fork to 160. I might just do that since all it takes is removing a spacer. I say if you're not dying for some cash do not sell it!

 large but its inbetween med and large really. i am 6 foot and its just fine....a fun cycle.
