that is sweeeeeet looking man! i wouldn't have guessed a brown bike was your thang... im not too sure on the white, it doesn't really go with the brown chain cover etc, is it 3 speed? internal gears are very good! nice one. by the way, who's is the black tarty bike in the fore?
Its certainly very nice and I wasn't expecting it to be that frame for one minute but to be honest didn't have a clue what it would be. Will have a check up about it.
Whats up with the Hope cranks?...thought you had them, are you waiting for the bb or something?
Thanks bud Yup they're in the shed ready to fit, along with a Reverb. Just gotta find time to fit them. Gotta find my crank puller to get the RF cranks off. New rotor and clamp are coming tomorrow.
Ok sound. Just been having a read up about it, sounds alright, nice bike for every type of riding, price isn't too bad for the frame, although still out of my budget unfortunately.
Yet to try riding it around yet. I got it as a complete. Was gonna get marzocchi 350CR fork for it anyway, plus needed a shock. The price of frame only, fork and shock came to roughly £100 less than the complete, so I went complete, then have got some parts to sell off.
Oh I get you now, ha. Couldn't understand why you had the RF cranks on, that explains it. Thats interesting to know about the prices, hadn't thought of that.
Woo! Absolute winner- I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like riding a bike from this century (looks at Big Hit..) lol looks f*cking awesome man- those forks look amazing with the neon decals. 10/10
Cheers dude, so pleased with it. Can't wait to get it finished off and ridden.
Haha big hits are awesome though. I can remember pinning my mates old one around years ago. He had one of the first generation on.
Nomads are well nice as well. Around here there are loads, up the Surrey Hills.
Hopefully won't see many of these around, although I've got a feeling there will be with the great pricing of them.
Well its got Hope cranks on it now... Rear rotor and seat clamp coming tomorrow. And then reverb on. Think that'll be it for now then. Then hopefully a matching rear shock next month...
Let me know how the stock suss feels. I decided to ride my SX for another year and swoop something either at the end of the season closeout style or next year and you really peeked my interest the other day when you had mentioned these,,,,, for the money it look really solid even stock.
I'll upload how it arrived, a great build for the money.
I won't be taking it out for a couple of weeks as I'm off snowboarding Saturday. Plus I've gotta wait for a new rear rotor to arrive.
Thanks dude, yeah its finally here! Got quite a few bits to do to it still. So happy with how it looks so far.
I nearly went V3 as they're so damn hot, but this just won it.
Yeah, I went with them basically since they are more "downhill oriented" The the V4 is sick. To bad they look a bit awkward in L size (the shock, seatstay and the toptube are not aligned).
I was considering pretty much the same thing with one of these, except the yellow frame. But same brakes/wheels. Even down to black rotors. Get yourself a matching 'zocci shock and we are on to a winner here.
Yup gonna get me a 053 shock when they're available.
There are problems with the rear brake due to the width of the E4 caliper and it fouling the frame. I've ordered a 160mm rotor to see if it works out, fingers crossed!!
