Selected by Matt Wragg - If you have a rider breaking the 200km/h mark, then a panning shot is the natural choice to illustrate the action. It is also an interesting demonstration in relative speed and how that effects shutter speeds for panning - with even downhill race speeds you want to be hitting 1/30 on the shutter, but at this speed you can push the shutter up to 1/125 and still get some nice blur, but it's a much safer shot.
