Selected by Matt Wragg - Shooting into the sun makes it hard to balance the exposure, but that is done perfectly here, with the backdrop perfectly exposed and just enough light on the rider.
I recognize I'm a bit biased here, but here's some defense/explanation just for the heck of it: She's actually not on any kind of trail; we were riding this steep untouched ridgeline looking for spots to build. This section is actually part of a horse pasture and is therefore trampled by hooves into very uneven ground, concealed by dry grass. Right where this is shot, she's manualing into a steeper, rougher, almost whoop-like section, all of which is difficult to see because of the layer of grass on top. Hence the way back body position. Take this for what you will, but thanks everybody for checking out the shot!
I wasn't criticizing at all. Just thought it was interesting that she looks to be lofting her front wheel into something really horrible, while all you can see in the photo is smooth pasture. Turns out thats pretty much the case
Or, if you look at it another way, she could almost be 80 meters into a 70 kph manual through a quiet mountain picnic site.
I'd have tried to claim that if I were you.
