Selected by Scott Secco - I've always liked this shot as it really shows what the North Shore is all about in 2016: steep, rocky, rooty, technical, and beautiful. We should all be so lucky as to have trails like this in our backyard.
Thank you I am really into meeting people and riding their favorite trails on North Shore, Squamish and hopefully Kamloops - I'd love to ride that dust. Cheers!
I wish I didn't have to look so hard for the rider. Had to tilt the screen some sort of way and zoom in to properly see the rider. Might be really cool if it was like a 20ft wide photo.
What does it mean for the trail to be technical? Any bloke can take Enduro 29 and ride through gnarliest stuff, it still doesn't mean he won't break his neck by not making it over the second lip on BMX track
The Shore Tech is tackled extremely slow. Which makes the bike harder to steer. add, greasy roots and tight switchbacks with high consequences, it definitely makes for a unique ride. Most shore riders can't make it past the lip of a jump, for they don't get any practice. Seems like things are progressing on the shore and some flowy jumpy trails are popping up. Casualties will increase this summer.
denomerando - I had the pleasure of riding the most terrifying technical trails I ever experienced in North Van. Coming from N.E. Wisconsin, I had my hands full. With that said, Woodro & Shandro made the experience incredible and I got out without injuries... Would go back any chance I can get...
Hopefully next year, I'll get my arse there for 2 or 3 weeks to see if I am a man enough... if I survive it, I can go to Whistler to break my collar bone.
