Kamil gets playful behind Sarah during the first descent of an 8 day expedition. This 600m downhill finished off our first day of a challenging 8 day traverse of Ethiopia's Simien Mountains, riding mostly above 3000 metres, and topping out at Ethiopia's highest peak at 4300m. Our ride was more of a journey, and was full of surprises, and hard-won rewards for our efforts. Getting off the ground on remote trails like this, so far from a hospital, is a calculated risk, and I had no idea that Kamil was going to throw a turn bar into the mix when I set up the shot, just as Kamil had no idea what kind of riding lay ahead of us for the next 7 days.
wow that's real nice. so natural, rural, rugged and rad. Makes me wish I was in a reverse Japanese horror moivie meaning I climb into my t.v and pop out there! with my bike, my kit and my mates!!!
