thats sweet. I'm trying to figure out the best way to shave some pounds off my socom which sits at around 42 at the moment. However I would never spend my hard earned cash on that XO stuff. The weight saving to money ratio just doesnt make it worth it no matter how 'bling' that shit is... but sweet bike, I'm going to have to study you choice of wheels and see if I can trick my machine out in accorance with your primo choices.
For a race bike i would run these rims knowing i might have to have them rebuilt very shortly. Running mag 30's or double tracks is dumb. they are the same rim and on of the heaviest rims out there. I would run mavic 823's or a non tubless wheel by mavic.
someones a tosser ^^^ if u read the article about how this bike came about (its long but interesting) then u'd know they're not zocchi's there pretty much one of a kind boxxers........and i'm pretty sure thats an 07 224 correct me if i'm wrong?
x.o stuff isnt really that "bling", the reason it is so expensive is because everything on it is replaceable, thats why its so expensive, i sat they are worth the money.
Have you considered running a double barrel instead of the dhx 5.0?? I don't have a db, but I know many that do and I hear they are the ****, especcially on single pivots.
Yeah, I've heard nothing but great things about ccdb's. I have installed one on another riders bike and it felt amazing so I'm super stoked to be testing one coming up. Should have it within a few weeks and will be putting up a good indepth review after I get some good time on it.
super kool....I think i'd take the little exttra weight and put some 729's on there though....its a wicked kool build though all the same....wanna sell it?
I really doubt your life is at stake if you use carbon on a DH bike. I always use as much carbon as possible on my long-travel bikes and have never had it fail.
