Are you guys using an Alaskan Mill or just by hand to cut those cross planks?
You guys don't strip the wood?

She's all freehand cuts! I don't strip . Just deck cut the top stringers and anywhere else that makes contact. Stripping looks nice.... With a bunch of 20yr old girls! Lol

I use special unrottable logs! Lol Our climate is so dry, the elders of or tribe preached skinning was unnecessary... Or they are lazy like me.

It does take so much longer to strip the logs. I build solo and it is exhausting. Wondering if I should just skip that step.

Not needed to be done, just adds a few years to the life of the wood. Glad to hear of people building. It can be addictive though.
