Damn, I thought I commented on this when I first saw it.....my bad. Now that is one striking piece of machinery my friend!! You did a great job with it, borderline perfection!
Well like I said, they're only things that go along with my own opinion: 1) I like floating rotors because the solid ones kinda cheapen the bike. 2) Never use colored pedals. 3) 31.8mm bars are non-proportional when used on hardtail DJ/Street bikes. Only my opinions and I expect the neg-props to accumulate on this comment over time, hahaa.
1.) I went with the non-floating rotor because the 160mm 2-piece rotor wasn't in stock. 2.) I had to use the orange pedals because they were the whole reason why I built the bike in the first place. 3.) I like 31.8 bars. No other reason there.
I specifically held off on the orange hubs I had planned because I was worried that there would be too much orange. My friend told me that orange is a strong color and you don't want to detract from the orange in the decals, so I toned it down to an orange headset, spoke nipples, saddle, and pedals.
Cool..I didn't hear anything about this at all until I'd just seen this picture..Maybe it was top secret or I just wasn't paying attention...anyway..nice one.
They were awesome rims. A bit portly though.
Velocity is a pretty neat company, I would shoot them an email and see if they could do a 24H version for you.
