Yeah, it's not really a problem, especially as the pivot doesn't look that high above the BB. Just a bit of a geo-preserver when dragging the brakes through steep stuff.
With that rocker arm it's almost the same to put the brake on the chainstays or in the seatstays, and this solution is stiffer so that's why it is how it is...
Indeed. Which works just as well as a brake on the seatstay, given a similar (virtual) pivot around that the rear wheel moves through suspension. Just don't buy into the marketing knowledge.
yeah i find that odd too, especially given that the international patent for the horst link is now expired. frames take a long time to develop tho (especially if you are not using a Taiwanese "off the shelf" frame and re-branding it), it wouldn't surprise me if Zerode started designing this frame before the patent had expired.
