No EWS report would be complete without a picture of Jerome Clementz riding at full gas. Though not completely comfortable on the dust, he still managed a very respectable and consistent 6th.
Selected by Scott Secco - This is one of the most gorgeous race shots I've seen in ages! Backlit dust, crazy bokeh, and Jerome charging make this one an instant classic.
Dave is the Nikon 70-200 sharpest at 135mm as the Canon version is? I have a MKII coming in the next day or so and am wondering if it shares this trait...
@downhillnews: better advice would just be to shoot it however you need to, and not pay attention to pixle peeping web reviews. And the aperture settings are far more important than focal length if you want to get hyper critical of sharpness ... All this assuming the image is in proper focus in the first place.
@davetrump: using my ranger rx I will typically go for F4-7.1 I can get up around 3200 shutter so that will let me get down below 2.8 if I need. I just don't feel like dragging lights down the Otter DH course this year.
@downhillnews: I think you are over thinking things if sharp images are what you are after. And no, you definitely don't need to be dragging Rangers down a dh track.
