Sometimes a bike comes out of the box a little wonky. You pull it out, Give it a quick once-over. You and the photographer head out for the photo shoot/first ride. You take some pictures. You get out into the first couple miles of trail and realize, hey, that chain is routed wrong. You go home. You re-route the chain. You keep riding the bike for a couple months. You don't write about the chain because your job is to focus on the big picture stuff and then you post the story and find that everyone is losing their minds because you neglected to mention that on the first day of riding the bike, the chain was routed. You respond, hoping to not sound like an angry wing nut and you resolve to mention it the next time around. Insert long sigh.
