 take a look at the spring on the rear mech. precursor to the clutch.

 The 63 tooth chainring was used at the Mammoth Kamikaze downhill races, which at the time was an all-out sprint down a fire road. These guys were hitting 60mph on these rigs. Kamikaze indeed.

 @TheProsCloset: funny thing is when You race Kami at some point its faster to tuck and not pedal instead of pedal hard.

 cool bike!...remeber seeing it on bike magazin at the time and wanted it so bad! the HED wheels in my opinion looked awesome, and the sound they made was great! all school all the way!!

 Immediately recognized this as a Kamikaze bike...I Worked at Mammoth in those days and will not forget the sound of those guys ripping down that road at over 60MPH

 I have a miniature model of this bike, given to me from a friend. Didn't ever know it was modeled after this bike until now!
