Are you really bummed that you didn't get the sticker? Seeing behind the scenes of what triggers a recall for companies, I can almost promise you that the missing sticker IS the recall. In theory, some idiot can pump it up to 500 PSI with it blowing up in his face and then sue with the claim that no one told him not to.

@ninjatarian: Talked to Fox, the missing sticker is NOT the recall. shocks that have been updated already will have the sticker.

If you look at the air can in the photo above, the can appears to get slightly bigger in diameter by the valve, and if you search a photo of a different X2, you'll see that it doesn't. it seems as though they've changed the air can.

@ninjatarian, @BigBearMedia: The new air can is also secured with a small screw - you can see it just above the housing at the bottom of the photo.

Good info to know... I wish Fox would have just shared those details in the recall instead of being ambiguous about it.

@ninjatarian: can people not read the manual and see what the recommended psi and max psi is for there shock?

@rufo: Lol... You would be surprised. Have you seen all the warnings plastered in cars these days??

@mikekazimer: Thanks a lot Mike. That is very helpful. I'm leaving to BC in two weeks and am really bummed about this. I'm scrambling to replace my shock for the trip. Not fun... For the record thought. I love this shock. It's the single best bike part I've ever bought.

@mikekazimer: so my question then becomes is the recall having to do with air cans loosening, or air cans exploding?

Because clearly a screw at the bottom has nothing to do with the latter.
