Bert Ribul and the open road.

I've been scouting locations for quite some time now for possible future film/photograph projects. Recently contacted Bert to shoot a short film. The short film is almost ready, but we just need snow for the last shots. Snowfall has been close to none this year and this lead to grabbing my Lucille (photo camera). At first we went to the same parking lot to shoot photos and even though the shots turned out good, to me felt like there was something missing. Am always fascinated with taking photographs of different roads when am traveling, hiking or exploring. A photographic idea of getting a shot in the middle of road with Bert was born. I had this particular trick (plastic man trick) in mind as well as Bert. The forecast the day before said that it will be a dry day, but on the shoot day it was not so perfect. At first there was this cold fog that felt like you were sprinkled with water as you walked, but on the way to the location it began to really pour down. When we reached the location the rain was not stopping. I was concerned that on a wet road it will be harder to perform the trick, however Bert had the determination to get it done. That got me stoked as well to get as sick of a shot as possible. After a few passing cars and a few tries, we did get what we have envisioned and it exceeded both of our expectations.
