Pushing yourself on this spot felt like playing chicken with a semi-truck on the highway. One wrong move and you are in pieces. The 70kmh windgusts did not really help.

Not sure what I'm seeing here. Is there a jump line behind the building? The bike is so far in the distance from this perspective that you can't see where he's sending it from or to. I'm sure it's a crazy dangerous and epic move that's just not communicated by the photo. From the photo perspective your eye is drawn more to the stair set and the contrast between the stones of the stairs and the glass building than the bike rider way off in the distance.

why does the biker have to be the focal point?

This one is more about the artistry than the biker itself. The biker just makes it that much sweeter.

Looks like that wall is curved like a quarter pipe. No jump behind the wall...

@riggadon: it is called cobblestone halfpipe, i think the wall might be the jump

Rockyflowbay is right. I am doing an air in the wall that is a cobblestone halfpipe.

I get the old "spot the biker" photo most of the time, but in this case, the bike really looks more like a bee.
