Didn't snap it..... Yet! Actually not afraid of that happening. This bike feels rock solid. Just pulled off the decals and swapped out the front end. FOX 34 fork and Chromag BZA bars/stem. This bike hits the sweet spot as a trail bike once you get everything dialed in. Took me a little bit to get the rear shock dialed and aired up enough not to slow me down on the climbs. Running around 200-210 lbs of pressure now, and it's perfect. The new 34 "locks out" waaaay more in the firm setting than the Pike did. So; standing up and hammering the hills is much easier. The bike definitely makes me want to jump over any trail feature out there, and holds it's own ripping down the mountain! It's not a rig that handles the bigger hits, but that's not what I bought it to be.
Only issue so far is a few bolts trying to back their way out on the back end. A little blue lock tight got that squared away nicely!
I have a carbon patrol currently also and I'm considering jumping across on a calling. I just wondered what your thoughts are comparing the two bikes , would you say the Calling covers off what the patrol does with some added efficiency and climbing ability ?
good to hear you like this bike. I'm also considering pulling the trigger on this bike. I'd like to know, how is the sizing? What is your length, and what size frame you own?
