Selected by Scott Secco - I really like Bryce's use of a wide angle 14mm lens here to distort the rider and the plant in the foreground. It really give this image a very unique feel. Plus, how can you not be stoked to see the forest turning green this time of year! Nice shot.
Maybe an artist would argue that the POD from the other day had a better composition for some reason but I think this is absolutely better. In my non-expert opinion, on top the leaves seeming to explode straight from the rider which directs your eyes straight to the rider, it looks like the trees are evaporating away from the rider as well. On top of both of these things, this is split into thirds really well too. And it has some good contrasting detailed complex stuff with the green blobs acting almost as negative space. I really like this photo a lot.
Ha. Loving the two styles of art criticism. @VTwintips really got me thinking about the composition of the photo, whereas @pogan has utilised brevity quite successfully to get his views across!
I'm aware that I've just reviewed some reviews. Review-ception.
Bet you weren't expecting to see your comment review reviewed, but here it is. I feel you did something great by noticing the vast difference in review style, but at the same time you showed appreciation for both styles. This makes your review feel less biased towards one type of review.
Also, that POD is rad.
