@baggyferret: truth, I normally ride in groups and make lots of noise. This time of year the bears head to higher elevations to stay cool. We are more or less in the clear until about late august when they start to come down to feed.
@conv3rt: "ok, slower riders follow me" ha ha haa! i've seen so many edits of bears chasing riders (and catching them) it would make me very alert! have you seen 'backcountry' movie?
@baggyferret: we're very conscious of bear presence. We try to stay away from hot spots and keep our distance. often opting to not ride if a territorial bear mom is identified.
@conv3rt: glad to hear that, yeah mumma bears are deadly protective when cubs are about... i'd really love to see bears in the wild im a true nature lover of all things, i'd love to feel the flow of adrenaline when near to such a powerful animal...maybe one day..
