Thanks! It’s a 1978 with a cammed 1300 motor from an older model. Really the only thing I want to do is get some gloss black wheels for it I think.

@ninjatarian: damn...that's nice. yeah, I think the black wheels would look pretty sharp too.

I had a '72 1500. Pretty stock, fresh shocks and re-arched rear spring. Did the HG on it - shit job from PO, swapped that trans into it, brake and clutch MC rebuilds, and balanced the carbs. Typical stuff. She ran pretty well. Car was a blast. sticky fat little Pirelli's on it. Back then, I could just about run away from anybody I wanted to in the Georgia mountains Wink

Worked for a dude that raced GT6's w/SCCA and he had two engines, the bonnet, radiator and core support, plus other stuff. I had planned on buying all that from him and converting mine to the bigger 6 cyl motor, domed hood, etc. but wound up running out of talent in a tight section of turns and put the car up over a curb drain (think big cement pad with a manhole cover in it) and in between two houses. Frown

enjoy that thing man....it's pretty cool tup

@adm750: Sounds like it was sweet, so sad to hear about its demise! I would say get another while they are cheap as the prices have suddenly started climbing over the past few years.

I wish I knew someone who really knows these cars to go over the carb tuning- it seems to run well, but I have nothing to benchmark it against and could be totally off base without even knowing it.

I do want to upgrade the front steering trunnions as I have heard many a horror story of them letting go. Would give me extra peace of mind when pushing it hard into corners. Would probably be a fun car to autocross with some sticky rubber and probably better damped rear shocks (I’ve heard of people putting R6 shocks on these things).
