Thanks Sam,..pulled her out of the pickle jar and did a little upgrading and Im not done yet! And this place has about 14 miles of great trails. 3000' of accumulated vertical gain over 15,000' lineal ft ! Its really tight Midwestern singletrack that's ONE WAY for reason. Flora and fauna here is all LOOOOOWWW and it creates a "tunnel" effect. You cant see around and thru well at all,.hence why it's all one way. I do ride it backwards,.at night ;-) I truly had forgotten just how much fun and agile this bike is despite being 13 yrs old! The 120/150 Rev Dual Position Air makes real difference in just how I want it to ride,..also the BETD/GoldTec aftermarket shock link help LOADS. Went from 3.9"/4.75" to 5.25"/6". I also played with the i2i using a different shock. Stock was a strange one @ 6.75X1.75(?) so I installed a 6.5x1.5 to drop the rear a tad back into the low CG stock range.
I think dropping the shock is perfect for this bike. Mate I really respect these old bikes and the folk who ride them. My mate has a very old orange 222 and it still goes hard. Yes he is slower on that bike but it's worth it taking it out just to chill.
I'll check the bike park now.
Joe,.. Thomson REALLY cooks there stuff in the acid ano etching bath !! Makes the dye go DEEP into the AL. Took 3x's as long in the strip dip than everything else. I also haz a buttload of bits I have stripped and prep'd and ready for color now. Waiting on a new friend to be done with the supplies I might inherit,..oooorrrr,.I just might be hooking him a great dealio on a high-end Eagle setup to pay for the stuff. Gonna purchase the sealer the Gub'ment uses for military applications thru him. And he has 6 colors of dyes . ALL of my Remedy suspension assy fasteners will be red ano soon. Ill also have a red ano'd Thomson stem too!
