seems the frame feels pretty comfy Big Grin

What you mean comfy Smile ?

@Bogumil1202247: it shows proper presures .dosen't it?
  • 1 0
Yes, it shows the tensions in the frame.
Bυt іt hard to be sure thаt real tensions wіll bе thе same.
In 6082 alloy, yield strength of the weakest areas of welds after T6 treatment is over 200 [N/mm^2].
So tensions under 70 [N/mm^2] shold be ok when you look at fatigue rezistance.

@Bogumil1202247: it's really cool!do you have carbon matierial?
  • 1 0
 Theoretically carbon is great material.
The strength of carbon composites is huge.
But this material has problem with resistance for impact.
When some rock will shot from the front wheel and will hiit in some place of the frame it is big possibility, that it will starts delamination.
After that fatigue crack can destroy the frame in very short time.
In my opinion good designed, welded and heat treated aluminum frame can be the same good.
And tehre is no problems with impact rezistance or high cost of produce.
If under foreces like this, in the frame max tension wold be under 70MPa frame should survive 50 years of jumping from bigger drops than on the shot below, 500 times per day.

Obviously if the welding process is bad or ductility of the material after heat tretment will be too big, fatigue of the material will kill the frame much faster.

@Bogumil1202247: cool.are you really going to make a frame by you hands?
  • 1 0
Maybe when I will have more time. Still I have many problems to solve. i can't make welding handles and machining handles until i will not be sure that in frame everything is corect.

 dobrze wygląda !

No starałem się wzmocnić wszystkie newralgiczne miejsca, dlatego zrobiłem rozgałęzienia jak w korzeniach drzew i różne wstawki biegnące płynnie wzdłuż momentów gnących. A takie siły powstaną prawdopodobnie przy przeciążeniu ponad 4G.
