Such a brilliant, simple & light gearbox solution. We need these in bikes now. I for one love the idea of being able to change gear while not pedaling. I remember Minnaar saying that he used to change gear whilst in the air on drops & jumps!!!

 As much as I love the RN01 and the simplicity behind it, I don't think it will ever be as practical a design as a planetary gearbox for the simple fact that chain drives have a lower lifespan and as we all know chains can snap and can really mess you up when it does. Pinion may be heavy but their 18 speed gearbox really is a great design and nowadays a much more practical design. For its time though the Honda gearbox will always be a legend.
