When the weather does amazing things it's all about finding a way to make the most of it. Even though we got completely soaked and I couldn't see through my viewfinder, it’s moments like these that we all live for.

This picture has an almost religious quality. Things that pop in my head when watching it: "Enlightenment at the end of the day" "It will, indeed, turn out alright" "your striving has had meaning" something like that.

POY for me.

I never post, just lurk, but have to say this pic is a winner imo. Home town and Kalamalka Park/Lake is heaven on earth. Been riding those trails 35 years now. Beauty.

Love the photo! I must say in the smaller versions during voting I thought that was pollen or aspen cotton or fire weed seeds floating in the air. We are so dry in summer months in Idaho it wasn't even a thought it could be rain! So much more impressive of a photo op and shot now that I know that. EXCELLENT PICTURE

In chrome i right click on the image, select "open image in new tab", the image in the new tab will be shrunk to fit in the window but if you click on it it should go to full size. Then save the image.

@CrAzYCaNuCk34: That doesn't download it in a higher resolution that just right clicking it and saving it. It says the original resolution is 2000x1333
