Found this new Misfits Psycles Nummers frame and fork for dirt cheap and had the rest of these parts laying around, been a fun little quick build and I've become a big Misfit fan fast, hahaa.
I have never owned mechanical discs, but I rode a bike with some for about 5mins, so that is really all I have as experience. I wasn't impressed but they were very old Avids that I think were just about worn out. However, all-in-all I have see many mixed reviews for mechanical discs.
I learned long ago that no matter what you are eventually going to need to work on your bike on the ground every now and then so I have always had a rug or such in the shop. This carpet is nice and big and I even installed the padding underneath, it's nice and cushy, hahaa.
@Draggon: Sounds good Each time I plan to work on my bikes on my patio the mat or large towel is needed. It sucks when you drop even a tiny item and get the marks on that lovely anodizing.
@Draggon: Do you have any extra forks you might want to sell too? ... I have an older Pike 454, but I'd rather do rigid or... something nicer (831, Argyle RCT)
@JakeMness: Dammit, I just sold a nice Argyle RCT. But I do have a rigid fork, I forget the brand but it is nice. I'll check it out tonight and send you some pics. Are you looking for a 20mm axle for the fork or bolt on?
@Draggon: I would prefer a through axle, but yeah... it's still kinda up in the air at this point. Damn! I love argyles. If I did rigid, I would want one of the taller ones that kinda gives the geometry of still having a fork... they don't seem to be as common for whatever reason.
@JakeMness: Yeah the one I have is just a bolt on dropout and has an A2C of 415mm, this one in the pic is at 430mm and the bar on there is a 3.5" rise. Other than that I don't have anything available at the moment.
