 Hi,
Is it still available? Looking for a bike for my son, he’s 5’ 10” and almost 14. So, he’s still growing. I think he should be on a large but what is your opinion? I have an inspired Skye and he rides that a lot and his bmx too but all friends have full suspension bikes and he wants to join the group. We live in VT and the trail network is now pretty amazing! I also have a Cervelo S5 and want out of road so I have it up for sale. I like the choice to run high end components on any bike, you have some pretty nice stuff on yours. How many speeds? Possible to set up as 1x11 or 12? Does the hub, B.B. and crank arm determine this or is the spacing changed on the cassette/ chain? Sorry to ask so many questions. What is the lowest price and how much to ship to VT 05446?
Thanks,
Pete

To be honest, I’m 5’8” and this thing feels perfect for a snappy, tossable fun bike. It may feel small to him. I am 48 years old but come from a BMX background for many years. I actually still have a Fit Chase Hawk that I ride now and then. I have a 24” Doberman as a jump bike. I tell you this because my background lead me to prefer a smaller frame size for tossability but as I get older I am loving my Santa Cruz 5010 size med which feels quite a bit longer than the Chameleon. The components on this bike are older but in near perfect condition and the King Hubs are a part I never really wanted to sell but everything has it’s time, right. I have this set up with 10speed casset and 2 cogs up front. Just my preference for this bike. You can run 11x1 (not sure about 12x1)but would need an XD driveshell. Chris King sells this part for these ISO hubs but it’s expensive of course. The front hub is set up as 15mm right now but I do have a 20mm axle as well. The brakes are still one of my favorite. I am only selling this bike because I am building a wood fired pizza oven and need the money but I really don’t want to let this go for less than $1000. If I can’t get that, I’ll just keep it. Shipping would be somewhere around $50. I use BikeFlights and would be shipping from 21704. They are owned by FedEx and I love their service. You could check pricing yourself and I would only charge the actual cost. I don’t have a box yet but I/you can just estimate. I appreciate your interest but can’t guarantee your son would feel it’s big enough. That’s your decision or his. Let me know what you think. Great riding!!!

Richard
