I built out a 2016 Scott Genius LT 710 frame over quarantine that I bought from a riding buddy and I made a pretty big goof while sourcing components that I need tour help with . . . So the standard LT Genius has 170mm of travel front and back. . . But when i was ordering my fork online I accidentally was looking at the spec sheet for the LT Plus Genius, which has 160mm travel front and back. So now my bike has a 2019 Öhlins RXF 36 EVO fork with 160mm of travel and a 2019 Fox Factory DPX2 shock thats providing 170mm of rear wheel travel. How do I restore the bikes intended geo and ride characteristics? Do I throw a 29er in the fork and flip the chip to high? Do i try and order a 170mm air spring from Öhlins? If so how hard is installation? I know that with anything other than lower leg services the conventional wisdom on Öhlins products is send em in to the certified mechanics.

10mm off if fine. its when that number is larger the ratio is out of whack. As long as the front shock was designed for 27.5 like the Scott Genius was , you are good to go.

Is it better to have a 2 bike quiver- like an Enduro bike and a Downcountry bike? Or to have 1 "do-it-all" trail bike? Aside from costs, are there disadvantages to having two bikes? Do you find yourself not as comfortable on the bike as you have to adjust to how each bike rides? I generally like to race the occasional enduro race as well as sometimes pushing the pace on local singletrack trails.

Has PB and Trailsfork partner with Garmin to use their GPS. If so how has it been working and is it easy to operate. I'm not a nerd but not a complete dummy either. I've used my Garmin 62s in europe to follow road routes, but now I am thinking of purchasing a Garmin Computer to download he trailsfork maps. Do you have a recommendation?

I’m looking at a new bike. Pivot Mega 6 or Switchblade versus Yeti 150. I was sold on Pivot for sure. Then a buddy bagged on Pivots and said get a Yeti. I’m thinking he’s wrong???? Any advice on the two company’s. Breaking, warrantys, etc? Thanks.

my 2 cents. I hate bike companys that go cheap in the manufacturer of frames. Both Yeti and Pivot use pressfit BB to save cost. I cant stand press fit bottom brackets. Creak all day long and not fun to replace. Look at Divinci bikes website. Thats how a frame is made. Go with Santa Cruz

Slowly transitioning to clipless, (dang this sport gets expensive) do you have a recommendation for a clipless shoe that will work well with flat pedals, sans cleat?

Fox Air shocks vs Fox coil shock for enduro. What’s the most consistent and adjustable if you can only afford 1?
