I know! All the bikes from this era had an LG-1 or something similar, I've definitely been thinking about it.

That fork!! haHA. What bar and rims agin?

The bar is a Next R. It's one of the latest additions. I really thought people were full of shit when they complained about 35mm bars being noticeably stiffer than 31.8, but I got the Next and noticed it immediately. The rims are Spank Oozy260 Trail, and the opposite applies as far as stiffness goes.

I've changed too many variables simultaneously to going from 31.8c to 35c that I can't say with any degree of confidence whether if it was the handlebar or not. What bar did you have on before?

And Lol@lightrims. Slap the corner too hard and the rim buckles? Also, I recently had one of my alu nipples pop out. I thought I had it built so that the spoke was a mm away from bottoming out, but I guess not. They warp even with the 3.5 sided spoke tools.. Take care of your nips

Scale shots plz?

I had a first-gen Deity Dirty30 on there before, many years old.

I didn't pay much attention to the details of the wheelbuild. This is the third set of rims to grace this particular set of hubs/spokes. I just aim for roughly the same ERD every time and hope for the best.

I'll get a fresh scale shot soon. Last confirmed weight was 21.69 with heavier pedals, cassette, and bar/stem, but less sealant.

21.51lbs! Light but not what I had projected. I think that added sealant is what threw my spreadsheet off. Necessary though, the rear Thunder Burt won't hold air for shit. Plotting and scheming on sub-21, as you might expect.

Just watch out for the alu nipples. I don't know if you had the chance, but I'd check if the spoke threads past the knuckle of the nipple because that's a stress point that compromises alu nipple strength. Bit of rain/sealant/salt/whatever will mess you up in the future.

And half pound over isn't too bad compared to my experiences of guesstimating lol no experience on the Burts but I find even the SG/Snakeskins don't seal up nicely and you have to use a lot.

0.1lbs over lmao, been refining this spreadsheet for a minute. To my great surprise, that ZeeTR RD only weighs 221g. When I redo the tape, I'll take a closer look at that.

 Winning the weight game!

Thank you! Independently of the weight, the bike absolutely shreds. It's a huge handful with only one brake, but I'm convinced that on the right kind of trail, there's nothing faster than this bike.
