When you try to be cool by pullin' a wheelie downtown in front of mad peeps but you just end up stacking HARD. Separated shoulder (lifetime total of 6 now), broke 3 ribs (lifetime 11 now, hahaa) and to add insult to injury my pedal sliced the f*ck out of my calf DEEP, hella fat and muscle showin'.....never had staples before, the numbing needle is no joke folks....talk about pain. I was about 100' into the wheelie and started falling off the back, grabbed a bunch of brake because I was past 12 at that time. Just got TruckerCo pads on the Vimana Slope that are super grippy and it put the bike down so fast that it threw my chest into the handle bar. Was going fast at this point, lost control, bike first swerved left, then back right quick so I high-sided and it threw my right shoulder into the pavement hella hard, I just stuck, didn't even bounce or slide....sounded like someone stomped on some Cap'n Crunch inside the shoulder. Then the arm went into the ribs. I was messed up. All in all I haven't had that violent of a crash in a good while.....barely was able to pick myself up off the ground. Moral of the story: Bikes Are Fun.
Shyte! I was manualing down the street once, a gust of wind came, started swaying my bike to the right, I slammed the front brake and as soon as the front wheel touched the ground the bike just turned left right into the opposite lane, I was so fkng lucky there was a gap between cars driving up the street. It took me an hour for it to sink in
BAF for sure! The crash and the outcome sound pretty awful tho. What I'd normally say to anyone destroyed or suffering: at least you feel you are alive Get well soon bro.
Sucks to be you right now!!! I hope you can get some rest a heal up soon. It's been over two years on my shoulder and I don't think it will ever be better than 80% again. We are to old to go down like that!
